Notes: Abercorn is on the south bank of the River Forth. The site is a mound overlooking the river and flanked by streams. Although the trees grow outside of the present churchyard boundary, this has been a sacred site since St Ninian visited in the late 400s, and it is likely that yews were once contained within the churchyard, or earlier monastery grounds.
