Notes: Inaccessible woodland with dense undergrowth. Permission is needed to visit this private wood and the grid reference and coordinates are only approximate. During this visit 18 yews were recorded of which the largest girthed were 16', 18' and 22' and 11 were in the range 13'/15'. Three of the smaller girthed yews do not appear in the tree information below. Tree 1 had a girth of 10' 11'' (333cm) at the ground, with burrows beneath and several branches from bole at between 4' and 7'. Tree 13 is a female yew with a girth of 12' 11'' (394cm) at 3'. Tree 16 is a female yew with a girth of 10' 7'' at 2' with burrowing beneath the tree. It leans considerably. A low dead branch has split from the tree, but was still well joined at 5' on the bole. It rests on the ground and gives support to the tree (for the moment).
