Notes: In the Topographical Dictionary of Scotland 1846 some fine old yew-trees, of large bulk and in a very thriving condition are described 'in the vicinity of the Ballikinrain residence' of the late Mr Dunmore. A later account describes their location as 'near the House of Ballikinrain'.
