Notes: A 60 acre site at Birches Farm has recently been bought by the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust. Described as a 'time capsule' farm, the intention is that it will remain untouched by modern agricultural techniques. The yew can be seen from the A4111 Kington to Eardisley road close to a junction leading to Kingswood and was first noted by Paul Wood in May 2015. At this time the area around the tree was full of ivy, brambles and hedgerow litter. Measured through the undergrowth and twiggy growth on the yew, a girth of over 16' was recorded.
