Notes: The Norman church was rebuilt between 1866 and 1870. The only parts of the Norman church to survive are semi-circular tops to the west door and a west window. In the orchard immediately to the west of the church are earthwork remains of a deserted medieval village although there is no mention of Breinton in the Domesday survey (notes by Peter Norton). Two large female yews that grow close to the northeast corner of the church can be viewed on Google Maps 52.051736, -2.769089.
