Notes: This site is best known for its Ogham Stone, described in the 1860s as 'beneath an old tree' (Meredith). Lewis's Topographical Dictionary of Wales (Genuki) described the church in 1844 as 'embosomed among trees, the luxuriant foliage of which almost conceals it from view'. The yew was one of these trees and the position of the stump suggests that its branches would have provided the stone with protection from the elements.
