Notes: Caversham Court Gardens are public gardens by the side of the Thames, owned by Reading Borough Council. They once formed part of the gardens of Caversham Rectory which dated back to the 12th century and originally belonged to an Augustine Priory. The main building was demolished in the 1930s. It is hoped that lottery funding to 'improve' the gardens will include measures to safeguard the future of this unusual veteran yew.
