Notes: A private location in Co Derry. A nearby area is called Doire an Iuir (oakwood of the Yew). There are many sessile oaks on the rocky slopes above the tree. The tree itself was used as a religious site during Penal Times and there is a 'mass rock' at its base beside a small stream. The Ordnance Survey Memoirs state that a priest was hung from its branches.
