Notes: The NW/SE road has long been known as an old droving road and the E/W road at this junction is called The Rest Road. The original buildings here date from the 16th century and it has been recorded that they were used for overnight stops for drovers. Some of these outbuildings still exist. The plan shows: (A) lost; (B) a yew that has been larger in the past and is recorded in Tree Information; (C and D) younger yews with an age of 50/100 years; (E) a tree covered in topiarised twiggy growth.
