Notes: A simple church built around 1230 by the monks of the nearby Priory of Hamble-le-Rice to serve scattered farming hamlets. As well as the ancient yew recorded here a female yew with a girth of 10' 5'' grows SE and two smaller yews grow SW. A History of the County of Hampshire: Volume 3, originally published by Victoria County History, London noted that in 1908: 'To the south of the church is a fine yew tree'.
