Notes: The oldest part of the church dates back to the XIIth century, around the same time when the abbey of La Lucerne d'Outremer was founded a few km NW of the village centre. The yew grows on slightly raised ground in the SE corner of the churchyard. In the 1847 Avrachin Monumental et Historique it is described as one of these ancient and enormous yew trees (8m girth) which survive near those Romanesque buildings of which they are contemporary, interesting both the naturalist and the historian.
