Notes: The church has been deconsecrated and is now a family home. Its yews are visible from the road but the land is private. The Ancient Yew Group are grateful that we have twice been allowed access to the land to examine the old yews in greater detail. It is especially pleasing that Paul Wood has been able to make a photographic record of these trees. The origins of the church are unknown, but 'an early medieval beginning is a strong possibility. It is certainly likely that a church stood here in the Norman period' (CPAT).
