Notes: In 1911, at Hen Eglwys, the remains of a building 5.5m x 4.5m with walls about 7' high was recorded. This was considered to be an old church, with a connection to the nearby farm Hafod yr Abad, the summer house of an abbot of the Cistercian Abbey of Valle Crucis. It should be noted that the tree is on private land.
