Notes: A Tudor mansion, later to become known as Eastmore, existed at the end of the 15th century. This was on high ground above Silwood Farm, and it is said that old yew trees on the summit of Farm Wood Hill marked the location of its former gardens. Another account names the location as Pound Hill, but also notes that two ancient yews mark the site.
