Yews recorded at this site: Ancient 5m-7m, Notable
Notes: There are many yews in this area. These three roadside specimens grow at the north end of the village high on a bank opposite St Milburgha's sacred well. Their proximity to such a significant site is reminiscent of the yews near the holy well at Hope Bagot. To safely measure these trees would require coning off part of the road and using a hoist. I managed to climb up to and measure what appeared to be the smallest girthed of the trio.
