Notes: The yew grows to the NW. The ground around the tree has been cleared and covered with stones, stifling competition from ivy, elder and nettles. Lewis's 1848 Topographical Dictionary of England stated that 'in the churchyard is a yew-tree, supposed to have been planted before the Conquest'.
