Notes: In The King's England series (1938) Arthur Mee described Willersley as 'a tiny hamlet with a farmhouse by a running brook, it has a yew standing like a lonely sentinel in the grassy churchyard, and a wayside church the Normans built'. The church c.1115 was declared redundant in 1972 and sold for conversion to a house. The two photos show a yew that looked almost dead in 1929 and again in 1951. Photos for 2011 can be seen in the Tree Notes.
