Notes: Tim Hills: The tree grows in a garden in a woodland area. John Lowe, in his 1897 publication of The Yew Trees of Great Britain and Ireland, recorded 2 yews at Wotton in 1890 with girths of 18' and 22'. Wotton's churchyard was visited in search of these trees in 2001, without success. A photograph of the churchyard showed that there were no yews here in 1936. Is it possible that this is one of the yews Lowe recorded in 1890?
