Acton Burnell (Yew Tree Piece)

Tree 7: 14′ 1” (429cm) just beneath a bulging ‘knuckle’. Girth retained for considerable height, but one very thick branch emerges at front of tree as it is approached from the path (8/10′ up). Its wood flows over a dead section that seems to have once been part of the inner core of the tree. Wood on this section only (first 6′ of bole in the indentation) is very red. Gall in this tree, branches that reach the ground a long way from the bole.
