Notes:The ‘Great Yew’ is the largest yew in the forest. It stands alone in an area of long since clear cut pine stumps (GPS: 51dg 10.65mnN 00dg 51.59mn W). The trunk seems slightly divided as if it were two trees grown together, but on close inspection one sees that the ‘join’ has old dead wood connecting the two halves and forming a perfect circumference fragment for a single tree.
