Notes:

April 2014 – Peter Norton: Most of the yew colonisation is on the northwest slopes of Beacon Hill and consists of small stands or solitaries in an area that is predominantly beech. At SU7262797193 are two yews, the largest (male) having a girth of 10′ 2” (3.1m) at the root crown. At SU7299597120 is a female with a low break of crown and a girth of 10′ 11” (3.33m) at the root crown along with evidence of branch layering. I was unable to find trees of larger girth (4m+) reported on the Ancient Tree Hunt records.
