Notes:

October 1998 – Tim Hills: Close to the south porch. A stone jacket encases the bole to the height of 7′ / 8′. In the hollows it was possible to see some internal growth – and toilet tissue, cans, etc. By 2009 the enclosing wall had been rebuilt. It is hoped that somebody took photographs of the event, so that we can have an idea of the size and state of the hidden trunk. A girth of 29′ is reported in Meredith’s list found in Chetan and Brueton’s 1994 book The Sacred Yew. It is not known how this was obtained.
