Notes:

March 1992 – D and J. Rudd-Jones: In a letter to the Conservation Foundation is this description. ‘This is an exceptionally large tree and lies on the south west side of the stud buildings. The girth of the tree is 26′ and it is hollow and male’.
June 1999 – Tim Hills: One of the largest yews to be found outside of a churchyard or woodland setting. It appeared solid. Girth of 25′ 6” (777cm) recorded at the ground.
September 2013 – Peter Norton: Male yew girthing 26′ 0” (792cm) at 2′ 6” from the top of the bank.
