August 2007 – Tim Hills: South of the church, a healthy yew with a fine shaped crown. Used on the day to prop us several mowers and planks of wood. Some aerial roots on the east side of the trunk. Girth was exactly 15′ (457cm) at 1′ and 15′ 3” (465cm) close to the ground. Little had altered by 2015 when these photographs were taken and a girth of 15′ 1” (460cm) at 1′ was recorded. On this occasion some aerial roots were seen on the east side of the trunk. Peter Norton also recorded the yew’s girth as 15′ 1”(460cm) at 1′ in 2015.
