Tree ID: 272
Yews recorded: Ancient 5m-7m
Tree girth: 610cm
Girth height: at 60cm
Tree sex: male
Date of visit: 16-Aug-99
Source of earliest mention: 1970: Brecon Yew Survey
Notes:August 1999 – Tim Hills: The yew grows NE of the church and just inside the churchyard gate. A trimmed ball shaped crown. Lower part of bole covered in dense twiggy growth and could not be photographed. Girth of about 20′ was recorded over dense spray.
2017 – Paul Wood: The tree appeared as previously recorded. It was almost impossible to get close to the bole with growth almost down to the ground. An attempt has been recently made to cut back some lower growth on the south side of the tree making it possible to see the bole. Measurement was not possible. The tree looked in fine condition.
