Notes:An exceptional site, with a male/female pairing of yews creating a vast covered area where roots and branches are allowed to layer. In the first photo the female is in the foreground, a solid tree girthing 12′ 10” (391cm) at 1′. The male in the background is hollowing, and girths 11′ 9” at 1′. In the space beneath the branches were many wooden stools used as seats during story telling sessions.
