January 2000 – Tim Hills: This tall narrow tree has a gap of 19” at the ground which narrows until growth on either side meet at 6’/7′ and lean against each other. A tall straight upright branch develops from here. Much thick spray at 2’/3′. Signs of burn/smoke damage on the inside. Girth of 12′ 11” (394cm) at the ground.
March 2012 – Lin Carter: The yew looked very healthy and showed no sign of fire damage reported in 2000. I measured it at 30cm, below the 1st stub, recording 434cm/14′ 3”. The crown is impressively tall and spreading.
