Bonneville sur Touques

Branches have been recently trimmed in all parts of the tree to control both height and spread. According to information from a local (church warden?) the tree has been cut to prevent breaking branches from damaging the church building. The tree has a massive trunk without any cavities or hollowing. Before the pruning there did seem to be just one dying branch in the crown. The harsh pruning of this tree cannot be explained by any visual assessment of the current condition of the tree.
