Tree ID: 3579
Yews recorded: Ancient 5m-7m
Tree girth: 550cm
Girth height: at the ground
Tree sex: unspecified
Date of visit: 16-Jul-18
Source of earliest mention: 2011: Monumental Trees website
Notes:Tim Hills 2018: It was difficult to tape this yew, with its low branches and holly. 4 30 m of its girth was taped with a further 1.20 m estimated, giving a girth of about 5.50 m. The yew’s location at the churchyard entrance has resulted in much low branch removal.
Wim Peeters 2009: The tree at the entrance gate grows on a little mound and has a very short and irregular trunk with a lot of small branches. A few low branches have been cut off, probably to keep the entrance free. The crown is a rather irregular shape.
