Notes:

The 1853 Gardner’s Chronicle, I am told, recorded a yew here with a girth of 9′ 6” at 1′ and 10′ 7” at 4′. April 2002 – Tim Hills: Is this fine spreading yew with its many thick upright branches the ‘young one’ described as ‘now flourishing in the room of the stupendous yew recorded in 1664?’ It has one hollow space in which internal growth can be seen. Girth was 14′ 3” (434cm) at 1′. Verified for the Ancient tree Hunt in 2007 with a girth of 530cm at 150cm.
