Notes:

August 2015 – Paul Wood: This tree grows on the north side of the church about twenty metres north easterly from the Kilvert veteran and ten metres north of the Saxo/Norman blocked church entrance. The NGR for this tree is SO33464451. We measured at a height of 2” above ground level, one of the only places where the bole could be touched for its entire circumference, since twiggy growth surrounds much of this tree. Girth of 12′ 1” (368cm) was recorded. The bole displays an even roundedness up to my head height at about 6 feet. At 5′ a girth of 14ft 6in (442cm) was recorded. It appeared extremely healthy. Some bird boxes have been nailed to the tree. Also in the churchyard are two lesser yews, one in the southeast corner which stands about six feet tall and one in the annexe graveyard northwest corner, presently being used as a dumping site for grass cuttings. This yew, covered in ivy, measured 9ft 7in (2.92m).
