2014 – David Alderman recorded the ‘Great Yew of Broich’ as a Treefest Scotland Heritage Tree. He described widely layered branches 120m in circumference and a girth of 387cm at 1.2m.
2023 – Paul Wood and Chris Knapman: A layering yew, as seen at Ormiston and Whittinghame. This one is unusual in being completely hollow inside right across the diameter. Girth at 150 cm was exactly 400 cm. It is considered to be possibly 900 years old and linked to a monastic foundation at the site.
