July 2002 – Tim Hills: Tree 5 on the plan. It grows ESE of church and measured 12′ 10” (391cm) at the ground. Soil etc stored by the tree might make it difficult to remeasure at the same place.
May 2016 – Paul Wood: The male yew looked extremely green with thick dark foliage. A thin layer of ivy completely hid the bole. Removing some of this I was able to remeasure at the ground, recording 12′ 5” (3.78m). Rubbish and some soil and stones had been placed under the tree just far enough away from the bole not to affect ground levels. The bole height was 3′ to 4′ before leader branches erupted in all directions. It appeared quite healthy but the ivy cover hid most of its features.
