Notes:

July 2002 – Tim Hills: Tree 1 on the plan. It is the largest in the churchyard, growing to the right of the path approaching the church and due north of it. Its bole is thickly fluted, covered in twiggy growth and bulging at 5′. Two long vertical gashes reveal it to be hollow. Its main branch rises to one side of the tree, with many other thick upright and lateral branches. Foliage cover was plentiful with some gall and yellowing of leaves.
May 2016 – Paul Wood: The tree appeared much as described in 2002. I remeasured at 1′ and found that at this height it had increased by only 1” to 13′ 9” (4.19m) in 14 years.
