Notes:1988 Denise Jenkins for the Conservation Foundation: As well as the photograph, girths of 11′ 10” (361cm) at 3′ and exactly 12′ (366cm) at 4′ were reported. Meredith has estimated an age of 360 years but it is not clear whether a certificate was sent.
2017 Tim Hills: The tree divides into upright branches at a height of about 15′. Below that height many branches have been removed. It was covered in a thin layer of ivy. I recorded a girth of 13′ 0” (396cm) at 2′.
