Notes:

April 2001 – Tim Hills: A female yew growing SW of the church porch. Girth was 15′ 2” (462cm) at 1′. It is number 4 on Paul Wood’s plan.
2016 – Paul Wood: West of the church, yew 4 is a fine looking tree. An oval shaped bole rises to about 5′ before an explosion of branches of all sizes. Girth was 16′ 1” (4.90m) at 1′, an increase of 11” since 2001. Many branches have been removed on the tree’s north side, particularly low on the bole. This happened a considerable time ago, since new growth has 60% – 70% covered the removal. It gives the yew a rather lop-sided appearance. Foliage was plentiful and growth looked vigorous. In places there were holes suggesting hollow spaces within the tree.
