Tree girth: 376cm
Girth height: at 30cm
Tree sex: male
Date of visit: 2-Mar-03
Source of earliest mention: 1938: The King's England - Arthur Mee
Notes:March 2003 – Tim Hills: In 1938 Mee described ‘fine old yews’ shading the path to this medieval church. Of several yews which grow on the north and west sides of the church, the largest grows NE, its girth 12′ 4” ((376cm) at 1′, though where the ground drops away this is 5′ high on the bole. It was much infested with galls at the time of the visit. One further yew stands alone east of the church.
