Notes:2001 – Owen Johnson: The yew was recorded with a girth of 336cm at 0.2m.
January 2017 – Angela Williams: Two girth measurements were recorded: 11′ 4” (345 cm) at the ground, the narrowest part of the trunk and 11′ 11” (363 cm) at 70 cm, just below the lowest branches. The trunk is fluted and twisted and the bark is reddish-brown and flaky. The spread of branches is extensive. Two churchyard paths pass beneath the canopy east and west of the tree and many lower branches have been lopped close to the trunk. More lopping has taken place at the outer ends of the branches all around the lower part of the canopy. Moss, lichen and ferns are growing on some branches on the north side and overall the foliage looks somewhat sparse compared with other local trees.
