Notes:October 1998 – Colin Howes: The venerable yews of Edlington Wood have long been remarked on. For a full description see article ‘Historic Trees of the Doncaster Region’ by Colin Howes. Some fine individual specimens are scattered through the wood, particularly near the crags. Nine yews growing close to woodland ridings were measured in October 1998 and their girths ranged from 4′ 7” to a mighty 10′ with a mean of 7′.
Robin Slater 2010 -The photo shows the largest girthed yew so far discovered at this site.
