Notes:The old yew grows NE of Elvetham Church. It is female and its girth at its narrowest point near the base is 13’10 ’’ (422cm), its height 47’. It looks as if quite a long time ago part of the NE side of the hollow bole came away leaving a gap which is now partly occluded. An aerial root of about 6’’ diameter originating about 6’ up inside the hollow can be seen.
