Notes:

A veteran oak called the Marriage Tree has an old yew half-swallowed in its trunk. A century ago the trees were comparable in size (Elwes and Henry). I came upon it in 2002 and subsequently realised it must be Elwes and Henry’s tree. Martin Turner has verified it for the Tree Hunt this summer (2007).
