Tree ID: 506

Yews recorded: Ancient 7m+

Tree girth: 922cm

Girth height: at the ground

Tree sex: Male

Date of visit: 5-May-02

Source of earliest mention: 1993: Tree Register Data Base -Percival Morgan

Notes:

May 2002 – Tim Hills: It consists of 3 trunks, well developed fragments of the original tree that perhaps once stood in the centre of this mound. There is also a small piece of stump, whose disappearance will reduce girth by about 3′. Ivy is becoming too well established. Girth of 30′ 3” (922cm) included a portion of stump.
Nov 2013 – Peter Norton: Two yews grow close to the southwest corner of the churchyard. The largest was male and consisted of three trunks emerging from a mound. Measurement was impossible due to ivy on the ground and in the tree along with masses of alder which has all but obscured the bole. The second tree was female and was being used to screen churchyard debris.
