February 2014 – Cliff Hansford: This is the largest of the yews growing here, found north of the church. Girths recorded were 15′ 9” (480cm) at 18” and 16′ 0” (488cm) at 3′. It is a particularly tall twin trunked yew, with at least a dozen lower limbs removed. The canopy was short of foliage. Of its twin trunks, that to the east was larger, while that to the west was showing signs of hollowing. Further yews grow to the SW and the NE of the church.
