Tree ID: 4664
Yews recorded: Ancient 4m-5m
Tree girth: 488cm
Girth height: not recorded
Tree sex: male
Date of visit: 18-Jun-15
Source of earliest mention: 2015: Paul Wood
Notes:The larger yew grows in the southern corner of a garden. It has a solid main trunk with many younger branches at the front or garden side of the tree. Hidden from view is a much bigger and heavily rotting rear to the tree. An attempt to measure the entire girth at ground level failed due to the amount of materials stacked around the yew. At the stage where the tape could be taken no further, more than 16′ was already recorded. Completing the task would, in my opinion, have added several more feet. The pictures cannot do the tree justice.
