Notes:August 2015 – Paul Wood/Tim Hills: Years of churchyard waste has built up beneath this tree, especially on its north side. Girth at 1′ above raised ground level might only be 14′ (427cm), but this yew appears considerably older than girth alone suggests. We might never know where the original line of this tree was but the loss of one side of the tree has opened up a view of some of the internal stems (IS) of the old yew. There is also a considerable amount of heartwood still in situ.
