Notes:June 2000 – Tim Hills: Tree 2 on the plan and on the left in the first photo. This is the only male yew and grows west of the church. Two feet of its red trunk are visible, but above this it swells dramatically with twiggy growth and by a height of 4′ its girth is 18′. This growth is green and copious on one side of the tree, but less so on the other. The original central stem is dead, but there is new growth all around it. 12′ 2” (371cm) at the ground.
2015 – Paul Wood: This tree has had a serious intrusion of burrowing animals. It was measured at the ground level on the church side, which is now nearly a foot higher than the opposite side of the tree. A girth of 12′ 4” (376cm) was recorded. The tree looks fine.
2022 – Tim Hills: A branch that failed in late 2021 was removed in March. Pieces were collected for dendrochronological analysis.
