August 2000 – Tim Hills: The ground beneath this yew was a storage space for the churchyard’s cut grass, which was several feet thick. Girth was 13′ 6” (411cm) at 3′.
October 2013 – Tim Hills: The area beneath the tree was no longer used to store churchyard waste and it was possible to see the tree. Its fine, solid looking bole is circular at the base, but by the height of about 10′ has become elongated. A split branch of the south side marks the starting point for internal decay.
