Llanddewi Velfrey

The yew has a huge spreading canopy that comes down almost to the ground and its main stem (at its narrowest point, well below breast height) has a girth of roughly 4.5m. Scattered around the tree, beneath the canopy, were the rusting remains of three cast iron cooking pots/cauldrons. There was a scatter of old pottery and bottles as well as some melted metal (lead with iron pieces embedded).
