Notes:

2002: Tree 1 on the plan is SE of the church and at the churchyard entrance. This unusual yew develops from a platform of root material with a girth of 27′ 7”. A girth of 15′ 7” (475cm) was recorded at a height of 6′ above the path. At the time ivy covered much of the bole and filled the tree’s branches. The top appears to stop abruptly as if broken at some stage. Many large branches close to the base have been removed.
In 1984 Reg Wheeler recorded a girth of 600cm (19′ 8”) at 130cm above the path – over young ivy.
