Notes:August 2000 – Tim Hills: South of the church on a slight mound. Girth of 17′ 0” (518cm) recorded between the ground and 1′.
2011 – Tim Hills: Girth of 16′ 7” (505cm) recorded close to the ground. Soil has built up to the top of the wall next to the tree. The present base of the tree is therefore about 4′ below what we are looking at. The tree might well have once been considerably larger in girth.
2016 – Paul Wood. The yew was unmeasurable and all of its features hidden by copious new growth all over.
